Clevedon Dent Wringtons Hopes
Wrington Vale 358 (P Penson 43) Clevedon (A Poole 51)


On Saturday night the fourth league game took place at Churchill club , resulting in a 16 points to 6 victory for the visitors. Clevedon started well winning the first 2 sets and gained a lead of 65 (an excellent 51 from ashley poole on the second set). Wrington looking dead and buried ,slow started to eat into clevedons lead and with Hucker,Wall,Tucker and Penson skittling well the game was within wringtons grasp . The last set started with Clevedon having a 7 pin lead and mobile phones out awaiting clevedons last man , however Sharron Williams taking the missing mans place playing very well (well supported by jeff wall) clevedon won the last set by 2 and the game by 9.
Wringtons First defeat in this years competition means the tournament is well and truly back on , although Wrington still hold a 4 point lead over Nailsea.
Wrington travel to Weston mixed in February (18th) and Nailsea hopefully having a equally tough game against Clevedon.
